The Eastern Standard Trio is releasing their newest album, A Grand Day Out, on all standard streaming platforms. Gillie's Five Quirky Miniatures for horn, tuba and piano is included on the album. This fun five-movement work has also been arranged for two horns and piano. Enjoy!

Gillie is being commissioned via a consortium to write a new work for 8 horns. The consortium is led by Sarah Schouten. The work will be a collection of songs from Mexican musical traditions. Gillie will be one of three featured artists at the Northeast Horn Workshop in 2026. The workshop is being hosted by Sarah Schouten at Penn State University on Jan. 23-25. Gillie will be giving a master class and lecture at the University of Guanajuato for Claire Hellweg's studio. Gillie is excited to meet the students at the university and share some musical and compositional thoughts with them!

Erika Schafer and Michael Brown are leading a consortium to commission a new work for trumpet and fixed media. The piece will capture Gillie’s impressions of the music, people, and environments of three asian countries through which she traveled this year (Thailand, Malaysia, and Taiwan). Gillie has been commissioned to write a 10 minute work for brass quintet for the 2025 International Women's Brass Conference. The piece will be performed in Hartford, Connecticut at the annual conference.
Cantabile: Music for Horn with Clarinet and Piano by Gina Gillie is available now through MSR Classics. Six of Gillie's pieces are performed by James Boldin and his colleagues at the University of Louisiana-Monroe.
The Interlochen Symphonic Band Camp, under the direction of Thomas Riccobono premiered Gillie's newest work for wind ensemble, Morning Light, on August 11, 2024. The work was commissioned by the Interlochen Center for the Arts for this year's summer band camp.
